I was hoping that I wouldn't have to write a post like this. We always knew it was a possibility but when it actually happens it's pretty disheartening... Last night someone decided to steal hundreds of dollars worth of products from our farmstand. We knew the risk, we were willing to take the risk because we also know our customers, we know our community. We know how honest and supportive they've been. When asked if the honor system was working for us we confidently were able to reply, "for sure, the people in our neighborhood and community are honest."
But last night shattered that truth.
To whom ever felt the need to steal last night, we forgive you. We will give you the benefit of the doubt that perhaps you are struggling to feed your family. We understand, rising grocery prices, inflation etc. We too feel that struggle while trying to support our family. However in the future if you are struggling come knock on our door, message us. We would love to help you out. But please don't steal. It's disheartening, it's violating. To all our honest, supportive customers, thankyou! We love what we do, we love providing you with great food and do our best to keep the cost of eating farm fresh food to a reasonable price. We will continue, however we are taking a step back to reassess. Hopefully this is a one time occurrence, however we will be putting things in place to protect our farm from further theft.
