Fresh Valley Farms

10/23/2026

We are so honoured to be participating in this incredible program and the week has included meeting some of the most inspiring farmers I have ever met.

Feeling so much gratitude on this beautiful autumn day, for family and for the community of farmers we know (and further afield too!) who farm like the environment and natural world are the basis of our survival - and are worth protecting.

Feeling grateful to be able to steward land with many generations of our family, and being able to learn along the way!

Grateful for customers who really care where their food comes from.

Photo from a field day in September where Dr Catherine Tarasoff talked about soil health monitoring on farms.

Today we showed the sustainable ranching students from Thompson Rivers University around the farm, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day! Because it felt like we barely scratched the surface.

Autumn is the most beautiful time of year here and we are soaking it in, while the rain soaks into the earth and the cover crops start to sprout.

🌱Organic Month is here! 🌱

Let’s celebrate by honouring the people behind the movement: the farmers who care for the soil, the processors who uphold transparency and integrity, the advocates who fight for a better food system, and the eaters who choose organic as an act of care—for themselves, their communities, and the planet.
This powerful community is working together to grow a resilient, organic, and regenerative food system in British Columbia.
Want to be a part of it? Join Organic BC thisisorganicbc to fuel real change for the land, communities, and generations to come.
