Good morning from Arnprior!
We hope to not disappoint anyone today - but we really could have used another hot day leading into the weekend for ripening. We have a limited offering at 3 locations but it is doubtful that it will last the day and who knows what to expect for weather tomorrow. Berries at on Madawaska Blvd, 395 Daniel Street and some at Carp Farmers Market.
Hoping to get Almonte and Carleton Place going this week.

Strawberry update!
Major changes in the strawberry patches - things are coming along nicely. I am always amazed how much difference 30 degrees makes compared to say 26 and the warm nights have helped as well. We hope that once berries get rolling though that the 30 degree days stay away - as this can shorten the season and can result in too much ready all at once.
With that said you should see us out this weekend - possibly even today if the "here and there's" add up to anything. It likely wont be full weekend of supply but hope to get some stands open.
PYO looks good for possibly mid to late week - watch for updates.

Good morning - the same 2 wagons we had in Arnprior - this year they are significantly further apart! So excited for the 2026 strawberry season coming up - things look great for a big crop but possibly a bit later - maybe?

Want to thank all our patrons who have supported us in the past and we are quite excited about serving Arnprior again with the best truly local produce in town.

Stay tuned for details about opening dates for our stands. In the meanwhile we have Leny's store open at the farm every day with fresh asparagus, rhubarb, jams, our famous sweet corn salsa and relish , fruit wines and more coming!

Some folks saw frost early Friday morning. We had 500 tomato plants out and think we may have got lucky. There certainly was frost on windshield.
Now it seems that we have “go” forecast and hopefully next frost isn’t till October
Now is the time to put your tomatoes and tender transplants out. We have early “ultra sweet” and our favorite “big beef” ready for you. Also some bell peppers, cayenne and jalepeno - all 5 dollars per pack - tomatoes are 4 packs - peppers are 6 or 9 plants per pack. All these transplants are fully hardened off and ready to hit the ground running.

Asparagus is plentiful - be sure to try some while in season

Come see a “learning experience” as Momma Cluck Cluck teaches her babies about the great outdoors!
