Fly did a great job!!! She delivered a beautiful sorrel filly last night that is a perfect copy of herself. We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome this special new addition. Fly faced complications for the past three months so this was a very very welcome outcome.

Horatio’s hunting partner didn’t come home a couple of weeks ago and while we are so so sad that she’s gone, Horatio fell into a funk. When he started coming to the house to knock on the door I knew it was time to get him some new friends. It didn’t take long for him to meet them and lay down beside them for company. One of the kittens isn’t so sure about the behemoth that seems to have adopted them but Horatio is much happier.

It is time.

The 50year old barn has reached a tipping point. or demolish.

All of the posts in the ground are rotten at the base. In order to safely replace them we have decided to take the roof and trusses for the off so we can replace the framework of the main floor. Once that’s done the loft will go right back on. Not a new but it’ll be safer and last another 50 years when we’re done.

Baby buckers learning their job. That small device on their back is a remote rider. It’s controlled by a remote. When they’re first learning, it falls off after the first good buck to reward the bull. Then the next time it’s two bucks etc. the device doesn’t “make” them buck and has no harmful or painful parts to it.

These animals are trained for a job. Once they get up to the 8 seconds the. The owners can enter them in shows to get the opportunity for them to go to the official rodeos and test cowboys mettle.

Santa borrowed our horses to round up the reindeer for their Christmas Eve flight. Shesa Gun Totin Cat aka Josey Wales got a work out but the reindeer are all back at the barn and ready to go.
