We are so proud of this community! 🧡🎃 Thank you to everyone who came out to our Halloween Trick-or-Treat & Market and arrived with a donation in hand. Together you collected 406.4 pounds of food and $40 for the North Hastings Community Cupboard, all in one afternoon. And thank you to the Cupboard team for everything you do for our community all year long!

🎃👻 That’s a wrap on our Halloween Trick-or-Treat & Market! Just look at this haul! Our whole family standing behind everything YOU donated. Every can, box, and bag on these tables is headed straight to the North Hastings Community Cupboard, and our hearts are so full.

Thank you to our amazing vendors, volunteers, Pop Over Parties for the free kids’ activities, everyone who rode the bus from No Frills, Moose FM Bancroft for the shout-outs, and Gary and everyone who helped set up, tear down, and everything in between.

We’ll share the final food count once it’s all tallied, let’s just say the Cupboard’s shelves are about to be very happy. Same time next year? 🧡

We’re getting SO close! Here are the important details to know before heading to Burke’s Barnyard this Saturday:

🗓 WHEN: Saturday, October 17, 2026

🕛 TIME: 12 PM to 6 PM

📍 WHERE: Burke’s Barnyard, 4169 Boulter Rd., Boulter

🥫 ADMISSION: FREE with a non-perishable food item for the North Hastings Community Cupboard.

👻 COSTUMES: Absolutely! We’d love to see everyone dressed up.

🍬 TRICK-OR-TREAT SCAVENGER HUNT: Visit the themed areas around the farm and collect your stamps. Once your scavenger hunt is complete, children can collect their treats at the end.

🛍️ HALLOWEEN MARKET: Come ready to shop and support our wonderful local vendors, makers and organizations.

🎉 KIDS’ ACTIVITIES: Pop Over Parties will be back with FREE games and activities!

🚌 FREE BUS: One round trip will leave from behind No Frills in Bancroft at 1 PM and leave Burke’s Barnyard at 3:30 PM. Seating is limited, and children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Need a ride from Bancroft to Burke’s Barnyard for our Halloween event?

Thanks to Switzer-CARTY Transportation and our wonderful volunteer driver Sue Witthun, free school-bus transportation will be available on Saturday, October 17! 🧡

🚌 BUS SCHEDULE:
📍 Pick up behind No Frills in Bancroft
🕐 Bus leaves Bancroft at 1:00 PM
🎃 Arrives at Burke’s Barnyard around 1:30 PM
👻 Enjoy approximately TWO HOURS at the event
🕞 Bus leaves Burke’s Barnyard at 3:30 PM
📍 Returns to No Frills around 4:00 PM

⚠️ There is ONE round trip only.

👨‍👩‍👧 Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Please remember that seating on the bus is limited.
