The Hot Box Farm Stand has a little mix of local goodies and spooky finds waiting for you this weekend! 🎃

Stop in and check out:

🥚 Farm fresh eggs — limited supply and first come, first served!

Our girls aren’t giving us quite as many eggs right now, so quantities are limited. If you’re hoping to grab some, we recommend stopping by early!

🎯 Visit Lisa from Pop Over Parties for FREE children’s games, Nerf fun, target activities, tug-of-war and more!

🎨 Add a little spooky flair with face painting.

🛍 Shop from a fantastic lineup of local makers, bakers, artists, charities and small businesses.

🍎 Warm up with a hot chocolate and pick up a candy apple or another tasty seasonal treat.

We’re so excited to officially announce Burke’s Barnyard’s 6th Annual Trick-or-Treat & Halloween Market!

🇨🇦🏕️ We’re officially one of Hipcamp’s Best Farmstays in Canada for 2026! 🏕️🇨🇦

We were pretty excited to see this little badge appear on our Hipcamp listing, but when we looked into what it actually takes to qualify, we were even more proud.

Hipcamp’s 2026 awards considered the previous 365 days of bookings, ratings and reviews. To even be eligible, a Hipcamp had to have at least 10 bookings, 10 different campers, 10 ratings, 90% of campers recommending the campground, and 90% saying their trip met or exceeded expectations.

From there, Hipcamp analyzed the ratings and reviews before selecting the winners.

And somehow, our little 4-acre farm in Boulter Hills made the list. 🥹🐷🐔🏕️

Burke’s Barnyard is officially one of Hipcamp’s Best Farmstays in Canada!

A huge thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, left a review, recommended us to others, fed our animals, sat around our campfires, and helped make this place what it is.

We’re pretty darn proud of this one. ❤️

🎉 BURKE’S BARNYARD IS 5 YEARS OLD! 🎉

Five years ago today, on August 13, 2021, we opened the gates and welcomed the public to Burke’s Barnyard for the very first time! 🐓🌾

We’ve called this property home since 2016, and the farm has been growing and evolving for years. But opening the gates to share it with our community was the beginning of a whole new chapter.

Since that first day, Burke’s Barnyard has grown and changed in ways we could have never imagined. Year after year, we’ve added, improved, built, planted, dreamed, and turned this little piece of land into what it is today.

From our animals and microgreens, to the Hot Box Farm Stand, campsites, bunkie, events, and all the little things that make this place special, it has been one heck of a five-year journey. 🌱🐷🏕️

And we’re still not finished. 😉

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has visited, camped, shopped, supported us, shared our posts, brought friends, or simply followed along. You’ve helped make Burke’s Barnyard what it is today.

Here’s to 5 years of opening our gates, growing our dreams, and making memories. ❤️

If you’re looking for something fun to do today, head over to Foster Lake Park for their Canada Day Fundraiser! Festivities kick off at 2 PM, with games for the kids, BBQ, snow cones, a silent auction, and a fireworks show at dusk. 🎆

Gary is lending a hand with the setup today, and we’re always happy to support great community events like this. ❤️

These gorgeous pearl oyster mushrooms were grown right here at Burke’s Barnyard 🌱✨

Locally grown, locally packaged, and organic, these mushrooms are as fresh as it gets 😋 Perfect for soups, stir fry, pasta, or sautéed in garlic butter for a rich, savoury treat 🍽️🧄

There’s something pretty satisfying about growing food right here at home and sharing it with the community 💚

Throwback Thursday featuring Willow 🐾💛

2 years ago she was all fluff, oversized paws, and puppy eyes… now she’s grown into a full-sized farm dog with a big bark, an even bigger personality, and absolutely no understanding of personal space 😂

It’s hard to believe this is the same little pup from May 2024!

Which version of Willow would win your heart faster: tiny puppy Willow or giant goofball Willow? 🐶
