Is this cold snap sucking the life out of your skin too? 🙃 If you’re looking for something a little more heavy duty to rescue your hands or other problem areas, this salve has all the goodness of tallow with a selection of other nourishing oils and local sourced beeswax to seal it all in. Just a few left until our next restock, date TBA but likely mid-spring at the earliest.

I know we have a cold stretch coming this week but garden season is firing up and I’m gambling on an early spring. Sweet potato slips are already jungling (I grew these last year, wanted to process/freeze dry them but not waste the sprouts. So it’s pretty early 😬). Leeks and onions growing, herbs and peppers popping through. Told myself I’d limit the garden to the hoophouse and one garden plot, then promptly planted double the onions I was supposed to to stay within the plan 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have restocked all our tallow lotions and face creams, and added a gentle kids formula with chamomile. We can also package customizable gift baskets for new babies, couples/valentines, birthdays and more for a local one stop shop. Thanks for sharing our excitement with this added venture while we wait for the regular garden programming to resume 🖤

Each ingredient is carefully chosen for its specific benefits, for skin care you can enjoy and feel good about.

Lets take a closer look at our Charcoal Rosemary Mint Tallow Soap to show what we mean:

Key Ingredients:
Tallow - biologically similar to our bodies natural oils & loaded with essential nutrients, antioxidant, anti inflammatory, super-hydrating & creates a firm, long lasting soap bar.

Kaolin Clay - a gentle cleanser which removes dirt and other impurities from pores as well as absorbing excess oil.

Activated Charcoal - draws out impurities from pores which can reduce their size over time. It can help with breakouts by absorbing excess oil and can even prevent dullness by exfoliating the skin so skincare products are better able to pe*****te.

Rosemary Infused Olive Oil - anti inflammatory, antibiotic, antioxidant, promotes collagen development & provides several essential nutrients. Helpful for acne prone skin.

Mint Infused Olive Oil - Contains salicylic acid which helps unclog pores & prevent breakouts, brightens & tones, helps regulate oil production, soothes irritation.

We’ve added something new!

ADEE home has made a collection of beautiful home and beauty products with our homemade tallow. These all natural products are great for nourishing your skin with the moisture and vitamins it needs without harmful ingredients, and they smell wonderful.

We’ve been using many of their products for over a year and loving them, and we are testing more of their beauty products now to bring to you if there is interest. So far we are also loving their tallow based face cream and super hydrating lip balms, and are excited to try their exfoliating coffee massage bar soon. We are also working with them to include our home grown and foraged flowers and herbals in future products which is super exciting for us.

1240 Red Russian garlic in the ground tonight, grateful for unexpected help from a neighbour when baby was slowing us down. Not many pictures as we were racing against the dark, but we are on track to keep doubling our garlic production every year and build up our seed garlic.
(Note: We usually plant mid to late September but it’s looking like a warmer fall).

First frost last night, but all the paste tomatoes and peppers were picked yesterday and are safely inside, and in the main garden we did our last bean, zucchini, Pattypan and corn picking. Today we shuck and blanche all the corn on the cob and chop peppers for winter use. Making progress towards an empty garden and full freezers.
