We are a Toronto based catering service that has been established by 2 individuals who have a Kenyan background and influence. Christopher Martins and Nisha Patel, a Goan and a Gujarati, a non-vegetarian and a vegetarian, might seem an unusual pair
given the diverse background of each however together, the kitchen is the pride where ‘cross contamination’ is taken seriously ..if you know what we m
ean. Nisha: "Born and raised in Nairobi , I migrated to Canada along with my family in 1989 at the age of 15. My influence and passion for cooking
comes from both my parents from a very early age. Having developed and fine-tuned cooking skills over the years, both Chris and I have confidently set up a new venture to share our love of food to people near and far." Chris: "My influences come from an early age watching my grandmother cook when my sister and I came home from school. My dad cooked but not as often as my mum or grandmother did but when he did, his food was full of flavor and spice! This is when I started to develop a passion for cooking especially with heat! My introduction to heat also came from an uncle who used to use Tabasco sauce on his breakfast. That practice has stayed with me all these years and it goes on every sunny side order of eggs! One of the things I love about cooking is that it allows creativity. I’m mixing flavors, color, things that go well together on a plate. Another thing I love is the pleasure food gives both to others and me. Cooking is an escape for me, kind of like how fishing is. It relaxes me and at the end of it all I want to go back again and again. It is my hope as people taste our food that they will keep coming back for more. The mix fusion you would experience has a solid impact inspired by our Indo-African background, to East African and traditional Goan to a more diverse palate such as Portuguese, Italian or Mexican. Our intentions are to display our everyday cooking-life hoping to arouse enthusiastic curiosity amongst you to try our home-made preps and perhaps inspire US in turn to CREATE MORE.
