🏮Kanpai Izakaya is a Japanese style pub - similar to a tapas bar or gastropub, with an extensive and diverse menu of flavourful food.

Kanpai is a customary toast to kick off the meal. While Izakaya literally means stay - drink - place, making for a lively social and relaxed atmosphere.

Typical foods on an Izakaya menu:

🍗 Fried Chicken - Karaage
🫛 Edamame

🍣 Sashimi
🍥 Sharables
At Kanpai Izakaya you’ll also find meals on the menu and a fresh sushi bar.

✅Roaming Appetite choices:

🍲Small Plate - Mori Agedashi Tofu.
Lots of elements and flavours in this small dish. Most noticeable is Katsuo, skip jack tuna, a fundamental element in Japanese cuisine. This sits atop a deep fried coated silken tofu, that is melt in your mouth smooth. Artfully plated veggies included a backdrop of zucchini and crisp asparagus, and shredded topping. The base of this dish is a flavourful dashi sauce made with an unami fish stock, soya and marin.

🥣 Meal - Poke Bowl.
Poke is one of the Donburi bowls on the menu. Donburi means over rice.
There are various poke bowl choices: salmon, spicy salmon, Buddha, spicy Buddha and tuna. Final answer Tuna with Poke Sauce. Choice of rice was sushi, since a poke bowl is comparable to deconstructed sushi. The toppings were a feast for the senses: avocado, beets, carrots, pickled onions, kale, marinated apricot and topped with toasted seeds.
