Laye Ranch, home of LDS Unleashed A proven 1D money winning stallion himself, LDS Unleashed has money winners from the futurity level to rodeos! Married in 1981, the couple have one son, Cayler.

Marci & Billy Laye have long been involved in the western lifestyle, mainly through professional rodeo. Marci, a many time Canadian Finals Rodeo Barrel Racing qualifier, earned Season Leader in 1981, was the 1986 Copenhagen/Dodge Truck Champion and twice won Horse of the Year with her great barrel horse, BJ. Billy has 13 CFR Ba****ck Riding qualifications to his credit and 3 National Finals Rodeo

qualifications. The 1991 Canadian Ba****ck Champion, Billy also won the '91 Calgary Stampede $50,000 Championship. Both Billy and Marci have instructed clinics in their particular events. The Laye family resides in central Alberta near Bashaw.

2011 marked our first year of handing out our "Unleash the Cash Program" cheques. Niki Makofka and her futurity filly " First Star Unleashed" with their incentive prizes for 2011. The blanket and a cheque for $500.00, is for the "BJ Brand Incentive", going to the c**t who has our brand on it and is the highest money winner in the Canadian Barrel Futurity/Derby standings. Niki also won our "Unleash the Cash Incentive" She recieved the jacket she is wearing here, along with another cheque for $500.00 for owning the c**t that won the most money in the Canadian Barrel Futurity/Derby standings. Congrats to Niki and to Corleen and Rene Leclercq for that part in "Ticket's" success! Unleashed is a own son of the #1 Barrel Horse Sire "Dash Ta Fame" who is the most talked about sire of the decade. The 22 year old son of, "First Down Dash", offspring broke records in 2010 with c**ts winning well over a Million Dollars! His sons and daughters have recorded more than $6.6 million in lifetime barrel racing money. As a Maternal Grandsire, his grandget earned $121,093 in 2010, so the second generation of these superstars is on it's way! Unleashed's bottom sire carries a couple who's who the barrel racing world, with "Streakin Six" and "Merridoc", which we feel, not only add to an exceptional set of papers, but contribute to Unleashed's great looks! Unleashed offspring are eligible for CBHI Stallion Program, Valley Girls Barrel Racing Incentive, Northern Lights, and our own "Unleash the Cash" Program.

3235 kms apart 2 Unleashed Offspring hit the Barrel Racing Report. Amara Finnerty on moving to Alaska has been so consistent this spring placing it all the 2026 rodeo so far. This nice big check at Drayton Valley is definitely gonna set them up in the standings a little deeper. Skyler Sutton is back on Hawks unleashed to fly and their time was good enough to pull a check out of a salty barrel race at mineral Wells.!

โ€œHappy Thanks giving Marci!! I havenโ€™t made a post yet but thought Iโ€™d share some great and cool news with you! Player won the first two rounds at the Chinook Finals this weekend, staying in the 14โ€™s in Brooks, and took second place with a 14.74 in the third round right behind another unleashed, with Cenidei Keeley on her mare Raven โ€œSurprise Unleashedโ€ who ran a 14.6! Player ended up taking the average and the Finals championship, I havenโ€™t seen the numbers yet Iโ€™ll share when I get them but i thought it was so cool to see the unleashedโ€™s going home with round wins/buckles and Player never ceases to amaze me at his prime age of 15!โ€

This marks the third time one of Unleashedโ€™s offspring have won the Chinook Rodeo Association championship! Amara Finnerty and her great mare Movin Ta Alaska โ€œAllieโ€ have won it twice and now Leah Campbell and Flat Out Famous โ€œPlayerโ€
Congrats Leah! Super proud of you!

And big congrats to Cenidei Keeley and her youngster, Surprise Unleashed , โ€œRavenโ€ ( trained by Sonda Markโ€™s) on winning the third round and running the fastest time of the finals!! So cool!
