This past Monday, our community came together at The Good Earth to support the Beamsville Bench Winery Association and its work to help save the Bench.

A proposed development at 5205 King Street is nearly double the permitted height and could threaten the unique agricultural conditions that make the Bench, and its vineyards, so special.

With the support of the Town of Lincoln, the Association is advocating for thoughtful growth that respects the land, the people who farm it and the community we all love.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their voice and stood alongside the speakers and local advocates.

Join us on September 24 for a lovely afternoon with 3 Girls Floral, where you’ll be guided through creating your own seasonal floral arrangement surrounded by the beauty of The Good Earth.

The Bench is more than the view. It is the vineyards, farms, and growing spaces that shape this place.

A proposed development at 5205 King Street could include buildings nearly twice the height current zoning allows. Independent expert modelling shows that added height may disrupt the natural airflow that protects our vineyard, increasing the risk of damaging frost.

We are not asking to stop the development. We are asking that it be built within the size already permitted.
