We’re only heading into our third market this Saturday, but already we’re feeling so grateful for the support and sense of community that’s growing around it.
One of the biggest reasons we wanted to start this market was to create a space where people could connect—not just with local food, but with the people growing it. After just two Saturdays, we’ve already shared so many meaningful conversations, met new neighbours, and watched people get excited about supporting local farms and makers. In a world that can often feel disconnected, those moments feel pretty special.
Every vendor here shares a commitment to sustainability, nourishing food, and strengthening our local food system. From Substrata Farm | Arlo & Danielle ‘s organically grown seasonal produce, to our gourmet mushrooms and eggs, heritage breed pork from Maple and Marsh Farm , sourdough bread and cookies from Margaret McCaffrey , honey from Brenna | Breathwork Guide & Holistic Beekeeper 🧘♀️🐝 , granola from the black shed , and more, every table is filled with food grown and made with care.
This weekend, we’re excited to welcome Abbie and Alan from Home Comforts Farm , who will be joining us with their sustainably raised beef (and chicken in the coming weeks!)
What makes this market feel so special isn’t just the incredible food—it’s the people behind it and the community forming around it. It’s knowing your farmer, asking questions, sharing recipes, running into friends, and filling your basket with food that was grown close to home by people who genuinely care.
Thank you to everyone who has come out so far, stopped to chat, supported local, and helped make these first few markets feel so welcoming. We’re excited to see this little community continue to grow.
See you Saturday. 🌱🤍
