Word traveled fast across the pasture that Julie and her family had crossed whole oceans and borders just to visit our province of Nova Scotia and to meet the Farmily. Naturally, everyone had to put their best hoof forward.
Oscar stepped up first to conduct the official welcoming committee, which mostly involved offering his giant, velvety nose for snack inspection and making sure his majestic presence was thoroughly admired. Not to be outdone, Lovely leaned in for some signature nose- to-nose sweet talk, offering the kind of quiet, grounding stillness that instantly slows the world down.
From there, it was a proper tour of sanctuary magic. There was our feathery Suzette tucked comfortably under an arm like the world’s softest purse, a not so snuggly pig with grunts and squeals. We even enjoyed a forest walk
By the time the day wound down, the miles traveled had completely melted away into belly rubs, pasture giggles, and deep, easy breaths. Proof that no matter how far away you start, once you step onto the farm, you’re home.
