One hell of a weekend at Big Smoke Bonnyville! 🔥🏆
Sometimes everything just seems to come together, and this weekend was one of those weekends.

We started off in the KCBS Backyard competition and came away with 1st Place Chicken 🥇, 1st Place Ribs 🥇 and Grand Champion 🏆!
That Grand Championship also punched our ticket to the KCBS World Chicken Championship and World Rib Championship in Lebanon, Tennessee, in May 2027!

We followed that up with a 2nd Place finish in the Drink Ancillary 🥈, and had an absolute blast doing a sampling event where we served up BBQ chicken drumsticks and Russ Turner brisket to everyone who came by.

Then came Sunday and the KCBS Masters. We put our food up against some of the best teams in Western Canada and came just short of the Top 10 in both Brisket and Ribs.

Couldn’t be happier with how the weekend turned out.
A couple of big wins, some beautiful trophies, amazing BBQ, awesome people and memories that will stick with us for a long time.

Sweet. Savory. A little heat. 🌮🔥

These Apple Butter Honey Chicken Tacos turned out unreal!

Juicy chicken seasoned with Heavy Hands Hank BBQ Heavyweight SPG+, glazed with Heavy Hands Hank BBQ Apple Butter BBQ Sauce mixed with some Peace River Honey, then piled into grilled tortillas and topped with fresh toppings for the perfect bite.

The sweet apple butter, sticky honey, and savory garlic-pepper flavor came together with just the right kick. These tacos didn't last long!

Check out this steak board for dinner tonight. Big thanks to Trena Louise Miller and Jamie for bringing this board to life. Thank you Modern Pastures for supplying this AMAZING BEEF. The quality and taste is like no other! 2 thick cut striploins, 2 thick cut ribeyes and 1 top sirloin. Seasoned with Heavy Hands Hank BBQ Heavyweight SPG + cooked them on my Weber Grills and these beauties were unreal!
