Herbal posies heading to my aunt’s magical shop! Find them at Vintage in the Village (194-A Osborne St - entrance on Gertrude). You’ll also find a lovely selection of vintage goods and likely a sweet convo with Carole. Highly recommend a visit!

These posies contain: Cosmos, Feverfew, Goldenrod, Marshmallow, Mountain Mint, Spearmint, Yarrow, and Zinnia. All farm-grown, other than Goldenrod which is gracing the farm in abundance this year!

YARROW harvest is underway! With about 80 feet of Yarrow to harvest, it’ll be slow going, but they’re a lovely plant to spend time with. I’ll be listening to podcasts on Yarrow as I harvest and tend them.

Pondering if the month of May’s name is short for “Maybe”… maybe it’ll be 20, maybe it’ll snow, maybe you’ll wear long john’s and other wollens to a May market end the day with windburn… ahhh, May in Manitoba!

What’s not a maybe is the beauty of local markets… the energy, the shared values of being there together to both provide local goods and support local makers & producers. To vote with our dollars, and our presence.

Chatting about gardens and plants,the doting over favourite herbs, and the excitement around meeting new herbs is so lovely.

Thanks to everyone who came to the market today and brought home some new herb pals! The and team put on a great market.

It was a joy to team up with Karin today to send more herbs out into the world!
