Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything here, but believe it or not, things have been happening.

There is a study happening to better Brock Twp's zoning, to allow for farms to diversify. I am proud to be a part of that movement.

We got all our hay done before the rains and it all went smoothly. (IYKYK 😉)

I did my last pickup from the kindergarten yard.

I planted two apple trees.

We rented land to crop, for the first time ever. And it's been a learning curve.

And I've done a lot of thinking and dreaming.

So as I fill up an additional water trough for the milk cows, I want to ask you all something (and see if anyone even still sees this page🤔)

What are your thoughts on local farmers markets? Does Brock have one? What do you like or dislike about them?

Mary's Dairy may still happen, though it won't be very soon. It's such a complicated venture.

We welcomed a set of twin boys yesterday!

While not helpful for building our herd of milk cows, they sure are cute! They are small enough I carried them into the barn! Separately, of course 😜

They needed some help keeping warm, so we put calf coats on them. I'm sure they won't need them on after a few days and a few feedings.

Ava dubbed them as Crash and Eddie 😆

Hi Everyone.

It's been a while since I posted on here.

I took on too much this fall, resulting in feeling like I was drowning- in my responsibilities as a mother, a church volunteer and community member. Throw in my work plus the dairy business and I was empty.

I didn't like that feeling.

You know those entrepreneurs who stay up late, work all hours and do it all? I tried it, and it's not for me.

So, I am letting go of Mary's Dairy business plan. Not for forever. Just for now.

There are other things which take priority right now. Like being present for my girls at the arena, doing a great job leading a kids program at church and helping my sister move.

I hope to still post on here, showing what my daily life looks like as a farmHer. And I hope it brings me joy to do so, as I release the pressure off myself.

Let's show Canter Coffee some love! And drink her FREE coffee!!

THIS SATURDAY will be the official Canter Coffee grand opening and community appreciation day! 🎉

➡️ We will be open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, offering free drip coffee and lawn games for the community.

➡️ At 12:00 pm noon, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Township of Brock and the Brock Board of Trade.

I realize how cheesy this sounds, but these last three months have truly felt like a dream come true. The support from this community has been beyond anything I could have ever imagined, so I want to say thank you ✨
