From humble beginnings in 1984 with 25 Jerseys and 40 Holsteins averaging 130 BCA for milk and fat to the present herd of 130 Jerseys with a rolling herd average of 329-318-318, we are proud of the cows who got us to where we are today. We have been one of the top production herds in Ontario and Canada since 1999. The show ring is our favourite venue however, and we have been Premier Breeder at th

e Royal Winter Fair (4 times), Premier Breeder at World Dairy Expo (2 times), and Premier Exhibitor at the Royal Winter Fair (5 times). Our girls have won five Royal Grand and Reserve Champions, a World Dairy Expo Champion and an All American Champion.

Our second recipients of the 2026 Honorary Life Member Award are Roger Ray and Diane Jarrell-Ray.

Roger Ray and Diane Jarrell Ray of Hollylane Jerseys have dedicated more than four decades to advancing the Jersey breed through leadership, genetic development, and a consistently high quality breeding program. Since establishing the Hollylane prefix in 1984, they have built a herd recognized across Canada and internationally, earning distinctions that include Master Breeder Awards in 1996 and 2015, multiple Constructive Breeder awards, more than 25 homebred All-Canadians. Their breeding achievements include influential sires such as Hollylane Lilibets Legacy, Hollylane Renaissance, Hollylane R Response, and numerous high impact cow families tracing back to foundation animals like Rock Ella Bright Nettie and Franken Monarch Rosel.

Beyond breeding success, Roger and Diane have contributed significantly to the Jersey community through leadership roles, youth involvement, show participation, and national sale partnerships. Their lifelong commitment has left a lasting imprint on herds, pedigrees, and breeders across the country, a testament to their years of involvement in the breed.

Roger Ray et Diane Jarrell Ray de Hollylane Jerseys ont dédié plus de quatre décennies à l’avancement de la race Jersey par leur leadership, le développement génétique et un programme d’élevage constant de haute qualité. Depuis l’établissement du préfixe Hollylane en 1984, ils ont bâti un troupeau reconnu partout au Canada et dans le monde, obtenant des distinctions qui dont le titre de Maître Éleveur en 1996 et 2016, de multiples prix d’Éleveur Émérite, en plus d’élever plus de 25 animaux Tout-Canadiens. Leurs accomplissements d’élevage comprennent des taureaux d’influence comme Hollylane Lilibets Legacy, Hollylane Renaissance, Hollylane R Response et de nombreuses familles de vaches de grand impact reculant jusqu’aux animaux de fondation comme Rock Ella Bright Nettie et Franken Monarch Rosel.

Au-delà de leurs succès d’élevage, Roger et Diane ont contribué de façon significative à la communauté Jersey par leur leadership, leur engagement auprès de la jeunesse, leur participation à des expositions et leur partenariat dans des ventes nationales. Leur engagement de toute une vie a laissé une empreinte indélébile sur les troupeaux, les généalogies et les éleveurs de partout au pays, un héritage de leurs années d’engagement envers la race.
