It’s that time again. Chicken processing is well under way for another year. We do 60 meat birds plus any roosters that were hatched over summer. We all pitch in with the butchering process and then Tasha wraps them up, does a final weight and into the freezer they go.

Nica’s been working on lacto-fermenting small cucumbers with our home-grown cuces, dill, beans, garlic and grape leaves (the tannins in grape leaves make the pickles crunchier 😃). 🥒 Best tasting, super healthy, fresh pickles straight from the garden 😊

Look who joined the farm this weekend! Pepper and Clementine adopted 2 babies and are the happiest geese we’ve ever seen 😃. Welcome little goslings!!

Tash and Nate had a great time after the rain at the Kingston Farmer’s Market last Thursday. Met some new friends, gained more experience and sold lots of goodies! They’ll be there again this Thursday at the Aurora Inn from 3-7pm. Let us know what you’re interested in, send us some custom orders and we’ll be sure to accommodate. There’s nothing like fresh, local produce, baking and hand made gifts!!

No birthing issues
Pasture raised (fed grain only at weaning), very friendly
