What nighttime looks like in the barn-

Everyone is brought into the barn for the night (predator protection!) and after some snacks they settle in for the night. Freckles is a young mom - this is her first baby and she is handling it like a rock star.

Somebody missed me after I had been gone to the - this little girl is a bottle lamb and is sooo affectionate.
She is from a set of triplets from an older mom so while she does drink from mom she and a sister definitely take advantage of the milk bar to supplement their daily nourishment. The cuddles are just bonus.

Thanks for all the hard work and all the effort you all made to make today happen. A huge THANK YOU TO THE VOLUNTEERS who held down tents, helped vendors caught up in the wind, brought lunches and did so much for everyone, getting soaked in the process. And thanks to Laura from for jumping in to help . So many examples today of the fibre community supporting our own- from the customers who braved the weather (and helped hold tents!) to the vendors who helped their neighbours, even though the weather was horrible the vibe was amazing!
A huge huge thanks to the intrepid who got soaked along with me and the amazing ( ) for the delicious snacks and the adventure. Super fun to share a tent with you and so much ❤️ to

See you all at the next one and hope the event team gets some hot showers and hot drinks.

The Fergus Fibre Festival is tomorrow, rain or shine! Bring an umbrella and wear your rubber boots so that you can enjoy visiting your favourite vendors in the lovely town of Fergus.

There is still time for you to see this today. Take a mom or anyone else because this movie is so good. I went for the sheep story but honestly it is a lovely, funny, moving story that also proves what we all know: sheep aren’t stupid at all.

It would only have been better if they included Icelandic sheep IYKYK

Sheep love carrots. And some sheep don’t love to share.

We’ve been off-the-fence busy with lambing, life and the realities of having off-farm jobs in the middle of lambing season. But it seems we’re on the other side now … apologies for not replying to everyone in a timely manner.

Today we are spending the afternoon with at the GTB Bioregional Eco Market hosted by doing what we love : talking about wool, spinning and promoting practices that take the planet into consideration. It’s free to attend so if you are in the Markham area feel free to drop by.

Saturday May 9 - drop by the Transportation Hall for a unique and inspiring afternoon at the GTB Bioregional Eco Market.
