🪏 Big changes, big dreams… bucket after bucket!

🌱 We redesigned the garden by the greenhouse and doubled the size. We have made the transition to becoming a no-till farm. By layering cardboard, adding fresh dirt and mulch, we are suppressing weeds and creating better growing conditions.

🌺 This space will now be home to all of our flowers instead of vegetables, and we can’t wait to watch everything come to life and bloom this summer!

☀️ We are almost open for another summer on Airbnb!

This year our place is hosting beautiful wedding events and fun farm getaways. Come enjoy the countryside, feed the goats and chickens, fire up the BBQ, and enjoy yard games with no neighbours around - just prairie fields and beautiful sunsets.

We are fully booked for June and August, but there are still plenty of July dates available. Book now!

🌶️ 🍅 Greenhouse planting day complete! All of our tomatoes and peppers are grown from seed, started indoors, and then planted out in the greenhouse.

We refreshed the beds with new soil and nutrients, set up the automatic bottom irrigation and companion planted with basil, chives, and marigolds.

We can’t wait to share our harvests with you this summer at the Nanton Farmers Market and in our homemade hot pepper jellies! ❤️

🐓 We get lots of questions about our chickens, so here’s a few egg-citing fun facts!

We currently have 27 hens living their best peckin’ lives. They are free-range and can roam wherever they like on the farm, just the way chickens should! We’ve raised them since they were baby chicks, so they’re a big part of our farm family. They lay a beautiful mix of brown and blue eggs with rich golden yolks, all thanks to a healthy, well-balanced diet. Our flock includes Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Columbian Rocks, Ameraucanas and Black Marans. Some of the girls even have names… and a few might be my favourites (Betty and Road Runner) 🤫

🥚 All eggs are washed in warm water, kept refrigerated, and are good for up to 3 months.
🥚 The date on your carton is the day the eggs were laid.
🥚 We hand deliver eggs $6 a dozen, cash or etransfer

🤍 February’s last day is finally here!

Winter has wrapped our farm in a white blanket, but we’ve been keeping productive and cozy. We’ve been stocking up on our pantry canned goods, renovating our garage, relaxing by our indoor fire, and enjoying the warm glow of our candles.
