Really exciting September heifer heading to the College Classic Heifer Sale
She’s got the cut to make a great 4-H calf for someone this year and an exciting milking yearling prospect next year

Proof Day is always an exciting time around Altona Lea as we look at bull proofs and decide who we want to use to create the next generation of cows here. This week, on top of Proof Day, we also had some exciting heifers get their genomic results back!
Altona Lea A2P2 Venus – PP, A2A2

Altona Lea Haniel Vladdy – PP, RC & A2A2

• +54 kg Fat
These impressive homozygous polled heifers are both daughters of Dicklands Lambda Victoria VG-86 88MS. Victoria was purchased as an embryo and is a descendant of the great Apple herself.

On the type side, Altona Lea Crushabull Jungle VG-85 moved up to +15 Conf, putting her in a tie for 26th in GEBV conformation. She’s also our favourite two-year-old in the barn!
Her sister, Altona Lea A2P2 Bluejay, is intriguing as well with 3497 PA LPI and +14 Conf. Their dam, Altona Lea Lambda Jaguar EX-91, is one we love working with every day—at home and at the show.

Autumn Opportunity 2025

This year we decided to bring a string of cows to Orangeville for the first time in 6 years. This is the most cows we have shown outside of our county show in over 20 years and we’re very happy with the results
