No one knows how we really feel better than ourselves, and learning to focus on ourselves can be difficult; yoga is a tool for self-discovery and for focusing on the present moment. Recovery can be very frustrating and slow, but focusing on the present can help you regain a sense of control and confidence in your journey.
The first thing is to slow down and breathe deeply to bring clarity and silence the outside noise, which can be challenging at first, but is essential for mindfulness practice and a good habit. Recognizing these barriers can help us stay committed to finding ways to incorporate the right recovery techniques, and for that, soft fitness is great. We can then introduce a suitable program into our daily lives to achieve slow, steady progress. And that is how I achieved my recovery.
My focus is on older adults, senior fitness for recovery, and movement-based yoga for restorative purposes. Recovery is often overlooked, and we rush to return to our regular lives without strengthening the core of our system that carries our body.
