In honour of Canadian Ag Day, we will finish our series on the family members herd favourites. If you missed Miranda’s and Robins favourites, check out our page!

🐮Kees

The powerhouse of the barn, Happy Cow Agent Lily. This 9 year old cow is 7000L short of producing 100000L in 7 lactations. She doesn’t let any one stand in her way and glides through the barn problem free. She has a very unique coat pattern that replicates a giraffe. We also enjoy working with the 4 heifers she’s introduced to the herd.

🐄Nicole

While Nicole found it difficult to pick just one favourite cow, she landed on Happy Cow Delta Francis. She is the beautiful daughter of a previous 4-H heifer, Faira. As a first lactation heifer Francis was classified VG-85. She has also exceeded expectations in production rounding off her first lactation with 13000 L of high quality milk.

🚜Simon

While Simon prefers to be behind the steering wheel of a tractor, during his milking shift he enjoys offering a snuggle to Happy Cow Robinhood Rees. This friendly 1st lactation heifer is pleasing to milk with her daily production of 39L. Her unique colour comes from her jersey cross sire.

At Happy Cow Dairy, we are happy if the cows are happy. In fact, we take great pride in our herd. Each family member was asked who their favorite cow in the milking barn is. Here are the results!

🐮Miranda:

Looking pretty and filling the tank, Happy Cow Poseidon Pinky is working hard on her 3rd lactation. In her second lactation she was classified VG-87, and filled the tank with a high component product. She also enjoys a head scratch in between working hours. We look forward to what the future holds for her!

🐄Robin:

This small but mighty cow had Robins sights early on. Happy Cow Agent Zippy is a family favourite. Her small size at birth got her the utmost attention from Robin and because of this she will not enter the milking parlour without a head scratch. She was recently named 1st fourth lactation and honourable mention SAHC barn cow which was a great accomplishment for this small but mighty red.
