And with that, spring seeding is done! Just over 3800 acres on the drill this spring. 🌱

Now on to the rest of spraying and getting cows moved to their summer pastures.

It was a pretty big day and a half, but we’ve got two pens of cattle ready to head to summer pastures.

We had Lauren and Jonah from MBFI out to help us fit the cow herd with their grazing collars, which turned out to be more exciting than we expected. After the initial moment or two, the girls settled in and went back to grazing. We are looking forward to testing the eShephard collars at MBFI’s Odana pasture this summer as part of a collaboration with them.

The calves and yearlings received their spring vaccinations and the yearlings are now sporting their M staggered C brands.

Daisy, she’s a wildflower 🌼

Despite almost being frozen in an April storm, spending time in the barn office to warm up and then being rejected by her own mom and a potential foster mom, little Daisy has never stopped showing the will to survive. She is Lea’s baby now, but sometimes the kids get to give her a little love too! 💕
