Spring has been a busy one. Calving completed, bulls delivered, donors flushed, 35 embryos implanted and now the cows have finally gone to grass. We are a bit behind in thanking those that had confidence in our program and purchased bulls from us this spring. Your support is greatly appreciated. If anyone is in the area this summer, stop by for a visit and to see the the next group of bulls on their mommas.

Drayton Valley 4-H Interclub was the 4H program our girls belonged to. They had the Grand Champion Steer in 1995 & Reserve Grand in 1996. This week Arynn Rogers showed a Copperhead out of a heifer she purchased from us and was Reserve Grand Champion. It’s always good to see where you started and how far you have come. Rob got to return to his hometown show yesterday to judge the 4H club steer classes. He was very impressed with the high quality and finish of the steers, along with a great group of kids to work with. Congratulations to all the members, leaders, and parents for an outstanding day. About three weeks ago we started getting calls from people that they could not get Copperhead semen anymore. Much to our surprise Select Sires has sold out of Canadian qualified Copperhead semen! We had 5 straws in our tank . We contacted Ryan Bodenhausen who has been a saviour for us when dealing with Select Sires. He found us some semen and it is due here next week. We will have about 30 straws for sale if you are interested. This will be the last of it! SAS Copperhead has been a great addition to our program and many others. Our cow herd has a heavy influence of him and they are true production cows. Contact us if you are interested . There is still semen available in the US from Select Sires for the US Customers.

We are pleased to have gotten the black Simmental bull that we feel can take us to the next level with our program. Congratulations to the crew at Wheatland on a great day. This guy is a beast and his dam is one of the elite in the breed in her kind and production. As you know how much we value strong cow families in our program. We have marketed our bulls through private treaty for several years. It allows us to develop the bulls for growth and longevity. We also have the opportunity to learn more about you and your needs. If you are able to visit the farm, you will be able to see the dams, sires, sisters and how our cow herd is managed. Coffee is always on and there might even be some sweets if you hit the day right.
