I have seen many posts of how other farmers load their trees, most using conveyors. We have a different way to load our trucks. In our yard we have 2 levels, one at normal height and the other at the height of a trailer. Our landing can hold about 12 loads of trees. When we load a covered truck, the truck backs into the pile of trees and we simply walk onto the truck with our trees. With 4 guys and a 800 tree load, our average loading time is 90 minutes and our best (so far) is 62 minutes. Each loader gets $100 which helps keep them motivated to load trucks faster and keeps truckers happy they are not wasting time sitting. I am curious if anyone else loads this way.
