A reminder that the fire ban is still on. Conditions are being monitored, and despite the recent rain, dry conditions still exist in many parts of the municipality. Please remember that a fire ban includes the use of fireworks and any open air burning. The Township has a significant load of hazardous fuels in the form of grasses and trees decimated by spruce beetles. This hazardous fuels map from 2023 shows the grass areas in green and the moderate to extreme zones in orange and red.
