My appreciation for Romaine didn't truly exist until growing it. I always lumped it into the iceberg lettuce category, smothered in Kraft dressings and stale croutons. But now all I want is a caesar salad for dinner, mm mmm. I should have limited quantities of these heads until the end of market season if all goes according to plan.

If there's one crop the drought has been easy on this year it's tomatoes. I don't know if I've had to throw a single one...

If there's one crop the drought has been easy on this year it's tomatoes. I don't know if I've had to throw a single one away due to splitting and it is looking like I will have next to no green tomatoes left over by the time we get frost (which is actually a bummer). Help a boy out and purchase some in the next few weeks! I've been pulling harvests like this most weeks since they have come on and I'm getting tired of moving them around 💤💤

Every year I try or re-try a new crop variety. This years trial was Ostergruss radishes. A German winter variety that may be the most radishy radish I've ever tasted. If you like a spicy, slightly funky radish that would no doubt pickle or roast well in addition to being eaten raw, I'd recommend picking some up while supplies last 👌
