Hey Brussels!👋🏼

My name is Abbie, the new owner of the The Purple Bike Cafe☕️

Many of you will recognize me from the cafe, as I worked for Carrie for the last three years! Others might know me from Four Winds Barn, or even The Jam Jar. I started working in Brussels over 7 years ago, and have worked for some truly amazing people.

Now, I finally get to be my own boss!

My promise to you; even though the cafe may have some small changes such as rearrangement, additions to the menu and hour changes, the heart and soul of the company is still here💜 All will always be welcomed!💜

Same products, same recipes, same amazing staff💜

It has been such an honour working for Carrie, and I am so very proud of her and what her future may hold (although I am constantly sad she isn’t working with us anymore!). What started as employment, ended in such an amazing friendship that I will cherish forever💜

She poured her heart and soul into this beautiful cafe, and it has not / will not go unnoticed. Carrie truly made this place special, and I am so excited for the opportunity to take over in her place☺️

💜An important message💜

Dear friends,

I know you’ve all been patiently waiting for the big news here at The Purple Bike!!

So with that, bear with me as I piece together how my heart is feeling. How does one sum up three years of incredible movement, in just a handful of words? Years of blood, sweat and tears that have shaped me into who I am today. This Café has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and when I finally decided to take the leap of faith, I had NO idea what incredible journey was about unfold.

I know I’ve said this before, but I can’t stress it enough, how incredibly important each and everyone one of you have been to the Café. Without the community and amazing followers, we would truly be nothing but bricks and mortar.

Now for the staff. The staff of this place guys, they are more then I could have ever asked for. Their love and support for me, not only as a ‘boss’, but as a friend, is something I am internally greatful for. Without them I wouldn’t have my team.

Now!! With allll that being said!
I have decided to step away from the Café and pursue the next chapter of my story. I am sooo beyond honored to pass the torch over to our incredible girl Abbie! You all know how amazing Abbie is, and I could think of no one better fitted for this place than her! (Funfact!! She just celebrated her 3 years with us this week!! How crazy of cosmic timing is that!?)
Please be kind to Abbie over the next while and keep showing her how beautiful this place really is!!

We have been busy here at the Purple Bike and have some pretty exciting things coming your way!! In order to do so, we need a few days to regroup and get all our ducks in a row ☺️☺️

If all goes as planned we will be reopening Tuesday November 25th!!
