This morning we woke up to no power.
It wasn’t a big deal. The coffee still got made(a little bit slower). The animals still got fed. The day still moved forward.
But it was a good reminder of how much we take for granted.
We’re grateful for the people who keep the lights on. The crews who work through storms. The people who maintain roads, deliver fuel, keep grocery shelves stocked, and keep communities running when most of us are still asleep.
We’re grateful for clean water, warm coffee, tractors that start, fences that hold, and a farm that gives us a reason to get out of bed every morning.
We’re grateful for our family, for the lessons this life teaches us, and for the chance to raise her surrounded by animals, open fields, and hard work that means something.
We’re grateful for our cows, pigs, chickens, goats, geese, dogs, barn cats, and all the chaos that comes with them.
We’re grateful for our customers who choose to support a local farm, our wholesale partners who believe in what we’re building, and every person who follows along with our journey.
Most of all, we’re grateful for another day.
Not every day is easy. Not every day goes according to plan. But days like today remind us just how much we already have.
Take a minute this morning and think about one thing you’re grateful for.
