Albion Hills Community Farm is a non-profit 17-acre farm and learning centre that advances understanding of local food and sustainable near-urban farming through education, conservation and community partnerships.Located in the rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine just 40 minutes north of Toronto, this farm features rich sandy loam soil which produces exceptional produce for local market consu

mption. Youth learn about the business of food and farming through our rural youth entrepreneurship program - HAYville. And, customers enjoy eating our exceptional veggies at local farmers markets and by buying direct from the farm. We offer fall agri-tourism adventures for families such as a fall corn maze and a pumpkin patch (we are growing 900 lb giant pumpkins which we will carve into pumpkin boats for a pumpkin boat race at our grand opening in Sept 2011). Local Caledon institutions purchase our organic farm fresh produce.Our farm is a former dairy and demonstration farm featuring a rustic farm cottage, barn and 100-acres of land located in the Humber River Watershed. We are located beside two bustling outdoor education centres within the Albion Hills Conservation Area. Visitors to the farm include wild turkey, deer, cyclists, school groups and campers (not in that order).Albion Hills Community Farm sells at the Schomberg Farmers' Market. Farm gate sales occur at our farm on Thursdays, 4 - 7pm. All produce is produced organically.
