Dear Friends,
With a heavy heart and deep gratitude, I’m writing to share some important news: after nearly a decade of unforgettable memories — whether you joined us for a night of glamping under the stars, attended one of our agritourism workshops or events, played with our beloved pygmy goats, or simply stopped by the farm shop —
Alabaster Acres will be closing its doors on June 15, 2025.
This decision has not come quickly or easily. Due to untenable changes in our lease terms imposed by our landlords — including a rent increase that far exceeds what our small business can bear — continuing operations has simply become impossible. After exploring every possible path, I’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to bring this chapter to a close.
What will never fade, however, are the memories we’ve made with you — the campfires, the quiet mornings, the laughter echoing through the trees. Hosting you over these years has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. Whether you visited once or came back time and time again, you’ve been part of something truly special, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As we prepare to say goodbye to the land, we’ll also be parting with our tents, structures, fixtures, fittings, furnishings, and farm animals. It’s a strange and emotional time, but I’m choosing to focus on the beauty of what we built— and the incredible community that made it all possible.
If you have a booking between now and June 15, it will be honored as planned. Guests with reservations beyond that date have already been contacted and given the opportunity to move up their stays to enjoy one last glamping experience before we close the gates for the final time.
As Alabaster Acres comes to a close, this truly is goodbye — not just to a place, but to a chapter filled with meaning, joy, and connection. I carry with me deep gratitude for every moment we’ve shared.
For those who have loved this place as much as I have, there will be an opportunity to own a piece of its story — everything I’ve built here, from furnishings to farm structures and even the animals, will be lovingly passed on and available for purchase in the weeks ahead. If you have any questions or are interested in making any purchases, please feel free to email us at [email protected]
Thank you for being part of our story. I truly couldn’t have done it without you.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Aimee Alabaster
