EVENT CANCELLATION
It’s with great disappointment that we have to announce that Altitude - A Rooftop Drag Experience is cancelled. With no advance tickets sold, we simply can’t justify taking on the financial risk of moving forward on an event with no guarantee of attendance.
And honestly, this is something we need to talk about.
There’s a growing expectation that tickets can be purchased at the last minute or even at the door. We understand that life gets busy and plans change, or not everyone can commit months/weeks in advance. But, when it comes to producing events, waiting until the last minute can mean there’s no event left to attend.
Venues need to be booked. Performers need to be paid. Events cost money before anyone walks through the door. Without early ticket sales, organizers are left gambling their own money on whether people will show up.
If we want more events, we need to show up for them, and that starts before event day. If you see an event you’re excited about, buy the ticket. Make the commitment. Help build the momentum that makes it possible for organizers to keep bringing experiences to our community.
Support events early, support the people putting them on, and BUY YOUR TICKETS EARLY.
With love and gratitude. ❤
