🌺 We did it. And we’re honestly emotional writing this.😭🥺🙏
When Joel and I opened Aloha last year, we said something out loud that felt almost crazy at the time…
“Mark our words , we’re going for Best New Restaurant in Calgary.”
We set our sights on it from day one.
We worked for it.
We dreamed about it.
And in October, we quietly got the call…
We won.
Aloha Modern Kitchen has been named one of Calgary’s Best New Restaurants of 2026 by Avenue Magazine , in a city with so many incredible restaurant openings.
This has been the hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep.
We wanted to celebrate so badly… but instead, we took those months to keep pushing, keep improving, and keep growing in every way we could.
Now that the day has come where we can finally share it publicly, it feels overwhelming in the best possible way. This is emotional. This is validating. This is a dream we spoke out loud and refused to give up on.
To our staff, our family, our friends, and every guest who has walked through our doors YOU made this possible.
To the ones who believed in our vision before it existed… who knew we wouldn’t stop until we got there… thank you for standing beside us.
This past year has come with challenges and learning curves that could have broken anyone. But we kept going with a smile, a stubborn belief, and a dream that only we could fully see.
With this recognition comes responsibility.
And Calgary, we promise you this: we won’t disappoint.
