Job Summary:
Klearwater Equipment and Technologies is seeking a proactive and results-driven Chemical Sales Representative to join our team in Northern Alberta. As a Chemical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our water treatment chemical and equipment solutions to a wide range of Municipal and Industrial clients in the Water Treatment industry. Your primary goal will be to generate new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with customers in the water treatment industry, while also keeping up our solid relationships with current customers. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales and enjoys building relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients in the Water Treatment industry in Northern Alberta
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences in the region
- Present and demonstrate Klearwater's water treatment chemical and equipment solutions to customers
- Conduct on site chemical testing
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current customers as well as new ones, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and solutions to clients
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and presentations to current and prospective clients
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring profitable and sustainable business partnerships
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new product developments
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand business opportunities
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Sales Manager
Qualifications:
- B. Sc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree preferred
- Proven experience in chemical and technical sales, preferably in the water treatment industry
- Strong knowledge of water treatment chemical and equipment products and applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while also working with the Klearwater team
- Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office applications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region
