Earlier this week, we headed out to visit our friends at Origin Brewing for a tour of their facility and fields, right in the middle of harvest season! 🌾​

​We’ve been proud to partner with Origin since the early days of Banded Peak, and it’s pretty special to see how both businesses have grown alongside each other over the years. With over half of Canada’s barley grown right here in Alberta, and Origin’s fifth-generation family farm stretching from Drumheller to within Calgary city limits, their malt is about as local as it gets.​

​Their Prairie Pale malt fills our silo about once a month, and thanks to their small-scale operation, we can trace it back to individual fields and the farmers who grew it.​ 🌾🍺

Five Banded Peak b**rs were selected at the Culinaire Magazine Alberta Beverage Awards, including two 90-point b**rs:

🏆 Vallée Blanche — 90
🏆 Southern Aspect — 90
🏆 Gran Norte — 89
🏆 Mount Crushmore — 88
🏆 Tea Bar — 89
