There are so many reasons I love what we do at The Travelling Teacups, but one of the most meaningful is the little glimpse we get into a life well lived. 💕🫖

We are so grateful to Jean’s family for inviting us to provide the catering and vintage china rentals for her celebration of life. It was an honour to help create a warm and welcoming space where family and friends could gather, share stories, and remember someone so special. 🌸

We always appreciate the warm and welcoming space at Scarboro United Church, and this gathering felt especially meaningful as our clients have a long history with this community. 💗

Jean was an avid quilter, and I was immediately drawn to this beautiful quilt and its intricate pattern. 🧵🪡💐 It felt like such a lovely reflection of the creativity, patience, and love she poured into her craft—and a small reminder of the many beautiful pieces of a person’s life that live on through the things they create.

Thank you to Jean’s family for allowing us to be a small part of such a meaningful day. It is truly a privilege to help families celebrate and honour the lives of those they love. 🫖💗

💗 A Little Appreciation for My Favourite Tea-Time Helper 🫖

Behind every beautiful Travelling Teacups event is a whole lot of love, hard work… and sometimes a very patient husband! 😂💕

My husband works as a Calgary Police Service dispatcher, and on his days off, when he could be relaxing, he often finds himself helping me with The Travelling Teacups — matching vintage teacups and saucers, loading and unloading, setting up and packing down events, and doing all those behind-the-scenes jobs that help make the magic happen. 🫖✨

It really is a family affair, and I feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing support around me. ❤️

The Travelling Teacups may have started with a love of tea and vintage china, but it has grown into something that so many people in my life help bring to life. Every event, every setup, every little detail has a story behind it — and often, a family member quietly helping somewhere in the background. 🥰

So today, I just want to say thank you to my husband for being my biggest behind-the-scenes helper, tea-cup matcher, event muscle and constant support. 😂💪🫖

I couldn’t do this the way I do without you. ❤️

One of the best parts of doing what I do is getting to connect with other local small businesses—and today I have to give a big shoutout to Sherri Busy Bee bakeshoppe Sherri Wold Berg The Busy Bee Bake Shoppe in Three Hills! 💛

When Sherri stopped by to pick up some china for an event this weekend, she was sweet enough to bring me a little surprise… mini cupcakes from her bakery! 🧁😍

And let me tell you… they were every bit as delicious as they looked! ✨ She had me at pistachio! 💚

It’s always extra special when you get to support and cheer on another local entrepreneur who is putting so much love into what she creates. 🐝💕

🫖✨ So… what actually happens after a break at The Travelling Teacups? ✨🫖

You might imagine I came home from a little time away, put my feet up, poured myself a cup of tea and eased back into work… 🎀

😂 Absolutely not.

The teacups had other plans. ☕️👀

Coming back means packing, sorting, checking inventory, washing and polishing china, catching up on messages, tackling the paperwork I definitely ignored while I was away 😅, and — perhaps most importantly — getting my brain back into TEA PARTY MODE! 🧠🫖

And somewhere in between all of that chaos, I’m also dreaming up our upcoming fall menu 🍂🍎, planning upcoming celebrations, and making a very long mental list of all the things I want to tweak, improve and add for the next season.

Because behind every pretty tea table is a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work. ✨

It may not always be glamorous… but I genuinely love getting everything ready so that when your event day arrives, all you see is the pretty part. 💕🌸🫖

So cheers to being back, getting organized(ish 😂), and preparing for another busy season of beautiful tables, delicious treats and lots and lots of tea! 🍰☕️🍂

🍂✨ Something cozy is brewing at The Travelling Teacups… ✨🍂

The summer berries are still making us smile, but behind the scenes, we’ve already started dreaming about autumn afternoon tea. 🫖🍁

There’s something magical about this time of year — crisp mornings, cozy sweaters, golden leaves, warm cups of tea and menus filled with those comforting flavours we wait all year for. 🍎🍂🤎

And yes… the fall menu is in the works! 👀

We’re putting the finishing touches on some delicious new treats, choosing the perfect teas and dreaming up all the little details that make an afternoon with The Travelling Teacups feel extra special. ✨

Taking a little time away last week was exactly what I needed. 😊✨

A quiet week to rest, recharge, and step away from the beautiful chaos of The Travelling Teacups reminded me just how important it is to occasionally slow down and refill your own teacup. 🫖💕

Thank you, as always, for being here, following along, supporting this little tea-loving business, and giving me the space to take a breather. Your continued support means more than you know. 🥰

🌿 A Little Time Away… 🌿

After a very full season of tea parties, celebrations, deliveries, packing, unpacking, and all the little details that make The Travelling Teacups what it is… I’m taking a much-needed little hiatus next week. ☕️✨

Sometimes even a teacup needs to be set down for a moment. 😉🫖

I’m taking some time to slow down, recharge, enjoy some quiet moments, and soak up a little life outside of the teacups. 💕 I’m incredibly grateful for every booking, every kind message, every referral, every review, and every person who continues to support this little tea-loving business. Your support truly means the world to me. 🥹💗

While we’re still soaking up every beautiful summer celebration, we’re already catching ourselves dreaming about crisp mornings, cozy cups of tea, and the rich colours of autumn. 🍁🫖

Fall is one of our favourite seasons for gathering around the table. Bridal showers, baby showers, milestone birthdays, retirement celebrations, and cozy get-togethers all seem to take on an extra touch of warmth when paired with afternoon tea. 🎀
