🧡🍂 A little reminder that gratitude doesn’t need a holiday table.
This year, our family decided to do things a little differently for Thanksgiving.
Between busy lives and conflicting schedules, trying to coordinate a traditional celebration was becoming more stressful than joyful. And honestly? We decided to let that expectation go. ❤️
Instead, I got to spend an entire day at home doing absolutely nothing but watching Halloween movies with my youngest daughter. 🎃👻
No big meal to prepare. No rushing around. No trying to fit everything into one day.
Just a cozy day at home, time together, and the kind of simple moments that I know I’ll look back on fondly. 🥰
And it got me thinking…
Sometimes we get so caught up in what a holiday should look like that we forget to appreciate what it already gives us.
The meal doesn’t create the gratitude. The gathering doesn’t have to be perfect. And traditions don’t have to stay the same for the memories to matter. 🥰
Gratitude can be found in the quiet moments, the unexpected pauses, the laughter over a silly movie, and the extra time spent with someone you love. You just have to slow down long enough to notice. 🧡
So if your Thanksgiving looks different this year, if your table is smaller, your plans have changed, or you’ve decided to skip the fuss altogether, I hope you give yourself permission to enjoy it anyway.
Because sometimes, doing nothing together is exactly what we need. 🍂❤️
What’s one little moment you’re grateful for this Thanksgiving? I’d love to hear. 🫶
