As far as we’re concerned, the market is where you find the heart of a place.
Here’s a Saturday in Roseau, on one of our trips home. A bounty of provisions still dusty from the ground, carrots pulled that morning, fish straight off the boat — weighed on a scale older than us, still jumping in the bag on the walk back.🐟
Then up the road: hand-painted calabashes, woven baskets, Pointe Baptiste chocolate made from cocoa grown right there in Calibishie.
Caribbean heritage isn’t just a category on a website, it’s in the makers and producers, it’s in the walk up the hill back home.
We live this culture, we don’t just sell it 🇩🇲
