Meet Loki - the kind of lamb that makes you stop and stare 🤍
Born to Sunna and Gunnar, Loki has been catching my eye since the day he was born. He carries so much of what I aim for in my breeding program already, strength, structure, presence, and confidence. Even at his young age, he has a powerful build and bold expression that’s hard to ignore
When evaluating a potential ram prospect, I look closely at more than just appearance. A future flock sire should have good bone, balanced structure, strong movement, and growth. Temperament matters too - so will be watching for that as he grows though he seems to be curious but standoffish at this point. A confident but level headed ram can pass those traits on just as much as physical qualities. Loki has continued to impress me in those areas these last few weeks, so I’m excited to see how he develops over the summer
His dam, Sunna, has consistently proven herself as a solid, dependable ewe with beautiful maternal traits, while Gunnar has contributed the strength I love to see in a lamb crop. Loki feels to be the perfect combination of both of them
Because of that, I plan to keep Loki and he won’t be leaving the farm - instead he’ll be staying here as a future flock ram. It’s always exciting to watch a young ram develop, but it’s even more rewarding to watch a lamb from your flock stand out enough to want to add them to your breeding program
I’m very excited to watch this boy grow, and an eager for what he’ll bring to my flock in the years to come ✨
