Final CSA bins went out yesterday to members. It always feels like a big accomplishment to wrap up the end of another fantastic season— but THIS time we wrapped up the entire farm along with it. 🥹

We are feeling all the feels over here… celebration, sadness, tired, joy, sentimental, reminiscent, ready.

Thank you again to all of our members for signing up and taking part in our CSA— and also to our location partners for being such awesome, community-oriented businesses! We really value you.

I’m looking forward to speaking on this producer panel in Whitecourt this weekend, with some other wonderful women in agriculture. 👩‍🌾

Last Chance to Register — Closes Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. (Fri, Nov 7)!

Every farm has a story, and every generation adds a new chapter.
Join us this Saturday, November 15 near Whitecourt for Gathering Ground: A Producer Development Day. And don’t miss our Producer Panel: Groundbreakers – Cultivating New Paths in Agriculture.

This year’s panel features three localAlberta producers who are redefining what it means to build a farm, a business, and a life rooted in agriculture:

🌱 Andrea Kristin, Grey Arrow Farm (Camrose, AB) – Farmer, author, and photographer sharing the beauty and grit of local food through her CSA and books Fresh Grown and Grow Food, Feed People, Earn a Living.

🍎 Kelli Burdek, Prairie Bears Cider Co. (Alberta Beach, AB) – A physician-turned-orchardist who transformed curiosity into community through her prairie-grown craft cider venture.

🐄 Jillian Byers, Blue Ridge Farms (Blue Ridge, AB) – Multi-species producer raising cattle, pigs, and poultry with her family, focused on regeneration and honest, home-raised food.

Moderated by Farming Forward, this conversation dives into what it takes to innovate in agriculture while staying grounded in community, land, and legacy.

🎟️ Registration closes tomorrow, Friday Nov 7 at 9:00 a.m. sharp!
Don’t miss a full day of hands-on sessions, great food, and Alberta hospitality — capped off with live country music!

After a decade of successfully growing delicious veggies for our community (and truly loving it!), we are moving on from farming. It’s time for us to devote our time and energy to some new things.✨

We are excited to be mentoring Jeff + Alison in carrying the program forward, and to cheer on their farming success every step of the way!

We will be retaining our name (Grey Arrow Farm) along with our blog and social media pages— so you can still stay tuned here for updates, veggie tips, recipes, news on Andrea’s new cookbook (on the way!), and join the journey of Grey Arrow Farm as it now evolves.

What a great night at this past weekend! Denis and I look forward to this evening every summer, it’s always an honour to be one of their feature farms ( ) in their farm-to-table dinner series.
