We're loving all the variety coming off the fields right now! It's hard to believe September is around the corner but harvesting pears and potatoes definitely reminds us we are in the twilight of summer.

Our CSA members continue to enjoy the bounty of Canfield and we're looking forward to extending our programs through the winter. Here's to good, local food!

It's been a minute since our last post, and I meant to get this out on Friday, but better late than never!!

Our pepper harvest is beginning and the crop is looking wonderful. What else do we havecoming off the fields this week?

Eggplant, cucumber. tomatoes, carrots, beets, beans, leafy greens, cabbage, broccoli, and more 😋

That's right, it's cabbage season here at the farm! This year, we have three varieties for our summer cabbages plus two winter storage types that we're excited about.

I always like to have a variety of cabbages in the fields so that our CSA members can coleslaw, sauerkraut, cabbage roll, or whatever their heart desires 🥰.

Of course, we also make sure to have both red and green cabbage for a little pop of colour. I can't wait to make my first slaw of the season!

Walls of cucumbers and a blanket of cantaloupes in the greenhouse this summer!

We grow these indoors every summer for better production and pest control. The results are undeniable with yields and quality that exceed our expectations 😊.

If you're a part of our CSA programs, you've already tasted this years Cucumber harvest. We can't wait for you to try our cantaloupes!
