🐾 Dog of the ‘Dog ~ June Edition 🐾
Porter has claimed the spotlight this June as our Dog of the Month!
Known by her given name, Porter, she also answers to Miss P, Queen P, and simply Porter P.
This fun-loving pup calls Banff home, where she resides with her super awesome (and super talented) mom, Fred. Some may recognize Fred from behind the scenes at Banff Ave Brewing, where she works as Head Brewer.
Which makes perfect sense when you learn where Porter got her name. Porter is Fred’s favourite style of beer, and Miss P has even been spotted on occasion enjoying a pint or two of our Coconut Porter with her mom. We don’t want to take full credit for the name, but we’d like to think we’ve had some influence.
If you happen to see Porter in the taproom, be prepared to provide chin scratches. They’re her favourite. In fact, she can often be found gently resting her heavy and not-so-little noggin on unsuspecting hands while receiving the attention she so rightfully deserves.
While Fred has a pretty impressive social life, Porter may have an even bigger circle of friends. She loves spending time with Gryffindor, Rudy, and Billie, and she holds a particularly special place in her heart for Auntie Sarah.
The next time you see Queen P, be sure to offer her a chin scratch or a dog cookie. They’re chicken-free, which is important because while Porter loves chicken, chicken unfortunately doesn’t love Porter back.
