Ingredients

These beans are delicious. Dr. Pepper Baked Beans

▢4 cans red kidney beans

▢8-12 slices bacon cooked, chopped

▢1/2 onion diced

▢1/2 green bell pepper diced

▢1 cup brown sugar

▢1/2 cup BBQ sauce

▢1 Tbsp yellow mustard

▢1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

▢1 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper

▢Salt and black pepper to taste

▢Parsley or green onion for garnish is optional

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine all the ingredients. Stir gently until mixed well.

Pour into a large oven-proof skillet or 9×13 baking dish.

Bake for up to 2 hours. The length of baking time depends on how you like your beans. If you like a thicker, stickier bean leave it in 2 or more hours. If you like saucier beans then 1 ½ hour might be more to your liking.

Remove from oven and serve!
