Our Hot Pepper Challenge has officially passed $5,000 raised for food purchasing at TNDF’s Food Bank — and we still have one week to go!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and rallied behind the five of us. ❤️

But while we’re celebrating that incredible milestone, the competition is definitely not over... 👀

Just $17.78 separates first and second, only $5.07 separates third and fourth, and there’s still plenty of time for this leaderboard to change!

September is Hunger Action Month... and we're turning up the heat at TNDF 🔥

Introducing our first-ever TNDF Hot Pepper Challenge! 🌶️

Five brave local community champions have agreed to put their taste buds on the line to help raise money for food purchasing at TNDF.

The rules are simple: throughout September, donate in support of your favourite competitor to help save them from the hot pepper. At midnight on September 29, fundraising will close, and the competitor who has raised the least will face a fiery fate at our Community BBQ on October 1, courtesy of our friends at Ark Pepper Co.

And don't worry, if you can't make it in person, we'll be livestreaming the pepper-eating showdown.

While the challenge is all in good fun, the reason behind it is very real. More individuals and families are turning to food support programs, and the demand for food assistance continues to grow. Every donation helps TNDF purchase food and ensure our neighbours have access to the support they need.

Hi everyone,
It's me, Melissa!
I’m reaching out because I’ve agreed to take part in something fun (and potentially very
spicy) for a great local cause.
This September, I’m one of five competitors taking part in The Nourish and Develop
Foundation’s Hot Pepper Challenge for Hunger Action Month.
We’re each competing to raise as much money as possible for TNDF’s food purchasing. At
the end of the month, the person who raises the least has to eat a very hot pepper.
So, I’m asking for your help!
