I've been reading all of your comments and messages over the last couple of days, and honestly, I'm not sure I have the words to properly thank everyone.
The last six years have been one giant learning curve.
I wasn't raised with a farming background. I was a city girl until i was able to purchase my first hobby. Farm over 8 years ago. No tourism background, no construction background, no off grid living and definitely no experience with llamas, alpacas, or camels until then. Most of what I've built has come from my own research, trial and error, stubbornness, and a willingness to keep going even when I had no idea what I was doing.
There have been incredible highs, but there have also been some very difficult lows.
This journey has taught me more than any school, job, or course ever could. It's taught me resilience. It's taught me patience. It's taught me to be greatfull for all the little things.
It's also taught me that balance is something I'm still learning.
When I care about something, I throw my whole heart into it. That's how this farm was built. That's how Llamazing Adventures grew. But sometimes when you're giving 100% of yourself to something you love, you don't realize how exhausted you've become until you're running on empty. Lately, that's where I've been.
Sharing that last post wasn't easy. Asking for help isn't easy. It's probably one of the things I've struggled with the most throughout my life.
I've always been the person who tries to figure everything out on my own.
So when people started reaching out with great advice, encouragement, offers to help, and kind words, it meant more than I can explain.
Some of you took the time to share my post. Some sent messages. Some offered help with absolutely nothing to gain in return except wanting to see me succeed.
That kind of kindness is rare. Thank you for reminding me that there are good people out there.
Also, if I haven't replied to your message yet, please know I'm working my way through them. It's been a busy week, and between Facebook, Instagram, email, texts, taking care of animals, events, bookings and trying to finish what feels like 18274 things to do on my list, I've gotten a little backed up. I truly appreciate every message, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
Thank you for supporting this crazy dream and all the animals that come with it.
It means more than you'll ever know
A lot of people have asked how they can help support the farm, so here are a few ways:
π¦ Book a tour with the animals. We have experiences starting at just $32 per person ( when you pick the 1 llama /2 peoples option) .
π Order a personalized video on cameo. Whether it's a birthday, graduation, retirement, anniversary, or just because, Shamy and the gang would love to help make someone smile.
πΊ Subscribe to our Facebook channel for less than $2 a month. It's an easy way to help support the farm while helping fund a continuous stream of funny Shamy the Camel videos and other farm content.
ποΈ Book a stay in our off-grid Airbnb and spend some time unplugging and reconnecting with nature.
π harvest host: Bring your RV/camper overnight on the farm. Self-contained campers can stay for $40 per night, or enjoy a complimentary night when you book one of our tours.
πͺ Book us for an event. We love bringing the animals to schools, seniors' homes, festivals, community events, and private gatherings.
π§Ά Support our alpaca products. We currently have a few alpaca insoles left, and bundles of yarn( made 100% from our animals). More alpaca yarn /products is being made and should be arriving soon.
π± Or simply help us spread the word. Follow us on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Like, comment, share our content, and tell your friends and family about what we do. It costs nothing, but it makes a bigger difference than most people realizeβ€οΈβ€οΈ
