Thank you Young Agrarians for supporting us on our farm journey and sharing our story!

Meet Steve and Julián of Milpa Naturals! They own and operate a herb and chicken farm in southeastern Alberta. Using the guiding principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture, they produce high-quality herbs for medicine and tea. They're working hard to turn their dreams into a reality, with the support of a mentor in our Business Mentorship Network.

"The biggest challenge we are facing as we are getting started and looking to scale, is figuring out the best way to allocate our time and resources. There are countless tasks and expenditures demanding our attention, but we are determined to figure out how to not only produce, but also to create a profitable business. Balancing slow and steady growth to avoid overwhelming debt while working toward the advantage of economies of scale is a delicate dance."

Spring is almost here! And that means allergy season is coming. Are you ready for it?
Many people experience seasonal allergies, also known as hay fever, around spring and early summer. The most common allergens are wind-pollinated plants, like trees, grasses, and weeds.
In addition to taking steps to reduce your exposure to allergens, there are several herbs that may help relieve symptoms.
If you usually experience seasonal allergies in the spring, now is a good time to start taking herbs that will help relieve the symptoms before they get to be unbearable.
