The polled dorset is a medium sized sheep, that live long and are great mothers.Dorset's are known for their ability to be bred out of season and can have 3 lambings in 2 years. Twins and triplets are common for ewes and lambs have moderate growth a mature fast with heavily muscled carcasses. Dorset fleece is very white and free from dark fibers, strong and when shorn, averages at 5 to 9 pounds, w

ith 50-70% of it can be used or sold.Mature ewes weigh 150 to 200 pounds, but can weigh more in show condition.
