Spring is magic and mayhem all at once. It’s a busyyyyy time but soo good too. We start to feel the urgency of getting plants in the ground and also begin to see the benefits from the plants and animals around us. 🍓🌱
We are really looking forward to the next few months on the farm. 💛

🍁When we started producing our own maple syrup not only was the flavour super important to us. So was our bottle choice. We wanted our syrup bottle to look and feel special. Something that was unique setting it at your table and worthy of a thoughtful gift. Finding the exact bottle and label took weeks but we’re so glad we were stubborn.
We’re so proud of our final product and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.🤗

They grow FAST! They are soo tiny at first. One minute they’re a little fluff ball. The next they’re a miniature dinosaur. Get ready to need more space quick. 🦖

They get messy. When you first start out they’re tiny and compact. When they begin to outgrow their first brooder. It’s messy, smelly and dusty! 🐥

They’re very curious.
They learn by pecking and scratching at the ground. Everything is a snack until proven otherwise. 🌱

They need a proper heater. We started out using heat mats or lights. Eventually we bought a heated brooder plate and it has been the best by far. ☀️

They’re usually roosters. 🐓
But seriously when we hatch our own eggs in an incubator, more than half the chickens are male.

Winter can feel so long, but this is where summer begins. 🌱🍅🥒
We’re already starting the seeds that will grow into the vegetables for our farmstand and the meals shared at our events. The best part is experiencing the full cycle — from seed, to harvest, to serving the very best. Every small step now is setting us up for a beautiful (and delicious) summer ahead.✨
