Fall is here! The mornings are cool, days getting shorter and kids are back to school.

Fall is a great time to come to the farm store to stock up on local produce to add to lunch boxes, seasonal dinners and winter storage crops.

Our farm team is harvesting every day bringing more and more up to the store. As the nights get colder the crops get sweeter.

We now have Arugula, Red Radish, Salad Turnips, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbages, Potatoes and Sweet Peppers available each week.

Come by the store this week Thursday - Sunday or find us at the Carp Farmers Market and Kanata Farmers Market on Saturday.

Yellow Fingerling Potatoes available at the farm!

Hi everyone we have a new crop that we have never grown before ; Yellow Fingerling Potatoes.

We did our first harvest today and they are up at the farmstore for sale. We will also be bringing them to our markets this week and then in our Harvest Boxes next week.

These are creamy, full of flavour and can store up to 7 months!

Today was Onion day at 1818 Farm and cidery. We brought in 10,000 yellow and white storage onions. The reds will take a couple more weeks in the field.

We take pride in growing high quality storage onions without the use of herbicide, pesticide or fungicide. The onions are nourshing, full of flavor and will last many months in dry storage.

They will spend 3-4 weeks in the curing room and then be sold at our farmstore and farmers markets. In the meantime we are selling them fresh to be consumed now.
