Had our first show of the season in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. In typical fashion Im Caliente Two performed as he should loping thru the patterns as tho he had been in training for months. Then to top it off he would slow down and trot the patterns for my wife who attended her first shoot as a competitor. Having only fired off a few rounds off him he kept her safe and put her where she needed to be.

Heather had a bit of a surprise yesterday morning when she went to check the broodmares. One mare had had her foal in the maternity pen and then she looked outside the corral and saw the other mare had foaled as well. Both of them not due for another week or two but couldn’t hold out. Had a stud c**t by our Boon San mare and a filly by the Duxiote mare. Both are in the barn and doing good. These are the first foals that Im Caliente Two had for 2026.

Had the pleasure of meeting Steve Macintyre on the Easter Weekend as he was riding my stud Im Caliente Two at the roping in Fort Macleod. Was great meeting him and his family and wishing home the best as he continues to compete with Two and Bill Manness as they travel down the roping trail.

The girls are getting bigger and the time is getting shorter until the babies arrive. It will be a long month to wait.
