After more than 10 years in the works we are proud to introduce our new technology!
GraVolocity ™ is a groundbreaking new metering and measuring system. It is a novel concept related to how flowable bulk solids can be measured and metered! Our first prototype was completed in February and entered testing on our farm. Results exceeded expectations; achieving results consistently of less than 0.5% error compared to certified scales. Our first prototype can dispense a metered amount of seed grain from a hopper bin. Along with our partners at the newly created GraVolocity Systems Inc. We will continues to test our system at the farm and have a second unit starting beta testing soon!

Summer Student Farm Hand/Labourer
Hallett’s Hay and Seed is looking to hire a local youth for the summer. We are a family-owned pedigreed seed farm located near Carstairs, AB. We have grown pedigreed seed since 1984, and also provide high-quality horse hay to the B.C. and Florida markets.
Duties:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Operating tractors and haying equipment, Cutting, Baling, raking, etc.
Maintenance on tractors and haying equipment
Rouging seed plots
empty and clean bins
mowing and trimming yard
general maintenance of yard/vehicles and equipment/shop/barns
being the ‘go to person’ when an extra hand is needed in various areas on the farm
Skills, Experience:
must be self motivated and work well alone and with others
must have knowledge of hay and common field crops
must be physically fit and be able to work with hay and grain and walk through fields.
must have a valid driver’s license Class 5
have a general mechanical aptitude
possess good driving skills
Some equipment experience would be a asset
have a solid work ethic
always demonstrate a positive attitude
Full time hours: 40-50 hours a week; 5 to 6 days a week. Salary $15-$17 per hour,
